Welcome to Paradise...

Located in the heart of Manuel Antonio, on lush rainforest grounds along the Pacific Ocean, Hotel Villa Roca’s vistas are one-of-a-kind, and we're just 3km from Manuel Antonio National Park.
The setting is a wonderful rain forest garden with tropical plants and exotic wildlife including monkeys, iguanas, and colorful birds, plus other species, in their natural habitat.
Enjoy amenities that include a 24-hour infinity-edge pool, a Jacuzzi (hot tub) next to the pool, two sundecks, and showers.

Our eco-friendly, and adult-only resort - with twelve rooms and four apartments - is in a quiet and safe area on the road to the national park.
Nearby the hotel you'll find a labyrinth of outstanding restaurants offering delicious local and international cuisine, famous coffee shops, a local gym, ATMs, spas, bars, supermarkets, bakery, pharmacy, and much more.

The room had a gorgeous view and well kept. And the venue was perfectly located to all park and beach jaunts, plus amazing restaurant choices throughout the area.

I'm not sure if Villa Roca does much advertizing their pool at happy hour to non-hotel guests, but they should. read less

Room was great, food and drinks were delicious, pool/spa was fun, and staff were very accommodating to help with taxi/tour/massage bookings.
Everyone from reception, bar tenders, breakfast service, and housekeeping were very friendly. It was also fun to skinny dip in the pool and meet other LGBTQ+ guests who created a welcoming, fun and accepting atmosphere.
I thought the price was reasonable - especially since it included an actual made-to-order breakfast each morning. On the property I saw monkeys, toucans, iguanas, parrots, frogs, and more.
My one and only issue was the wifi was a bit spotty in my room (it worked everywhere else) but it didnt matter to me. I was not in Costa Rica for work and spent most of my time out of my room.
Definitely recommend this hotel for gay visitors and can’t wait to come back. read less

The... read moreMy husband and I stayed at Villa Roca for 4 nights in March 2021, and we absolutely loved this hotel!
The views from the rooms and especially from the infinity pool overlooking the rain forest and the ocean are spectacular.
Breakfast is served by the pool, and guests get to chose 3 items from a nice little menu - so yummy and fresh!
Hot tubs are deliciously warm and bubbly, and while one is overlooking the ocean, 2 of them are "hidden" in the Enchanted Forest - a great place to meet other guests and make new friends 🙂
We heard from other guests that the hotel is usually VERY lit especially on weekends, but it's currently not very busy due to COVID.
The new owner introduced himself to us, and he seems interested in fixing and upgrading various things around the property, including the flaky Wi-Fi (they were working on getting the routers replaced whiles we stayed there).
We cannot wait to visit Villa Roca again! More read less

The views from... read moreMy partner and I spent an amazing 14 days at Villa Roca. We enjoyed it very much.
The views from almost everywhere on the property are spectacular! The grounds are mostly well kept and clean. The pool is outstanding. The staff and manager are can be found here everyday, ensuring that the water is maintained properly.
The staff are really what make Villa Roca a great place to stay. Mau, the bartender is an absolute sweetheart, and Irene, the breakfast server is a joy to wake up to every morning. Also of note, a new young lady started on February 26th - to cover Mau's day off at the bar and Irene's day off for breakfast. She worked her first day on one of the busiest happy hours at the pool that we saw in two weeks, and did a great job. We were more than impressed by her!
We stayed in Room 5b - a stand alone unit, built a few years ago. As it is newer, it was fairly modern and updated. The bed, however, advertised as a Queen, was really more of a Double. The cleaning staff did a great job.
The location of Villa Roca is perfect for walking to and from restuarants and bars in the area or to the beach. Should you wish to take a bus instead, to the beach or to Quepos, the stops are close to the hotel.
We would definately stay at Villa Roca again - we met so many wonderful people from all over. Its not a luxury 5 star hotel by any means, but it certainly provided comfort and friendliness for the out two week stay!
Cheers! read less
